[... The way Yukari looks at Akira may be the happiest the other girl has ever seen her.] Thank you, Akira. I... You've made me really happy. [... And then she has to ruin it by letting out a very unelegant-sounding snrrrk. Damn congestion.]

First things first. Finish your sweets and then get some sleep.

[ Akira gets up to deposit this washcloth and basin of water in easy reach if they need it later. ] Rest is the best medicine.

[Yukari nodded, and took a few more bites of her ice cream.] ... You'll stay with me, right?

[chiencolat]

I'm not going anywhere.

[ Just didn't want you ending up drippy in your sleep.

See? Back she comes. To sits.

And rest a hand on your leg in support. ]

[Yukari smiles at that wordlessly, and leans her head against Akira's shoulder, finishing her ice cream. By the time her spoon is placed down, she's finally reached a state of content sleep, her eyes closed as she leans against her partner.]

[ This is a relief for Akira: a sleeping Yukari is a Yukari who will heal faster. She sets the tray aside, and gently begins to nudge Yukari in the hopes of laying her out on the bed so she won't get a cramp from the way she's sleeping. But she doesn't want to jostle Yukari's head, or disrupt this contact...

In the end, she ends up laying them both down at the same time, Yukari's head still pillowed on her shoulder, her foot wedged against the tray. But you know what? That's okay with Akira.

A dog can sleep anywhere if it's with the person it loves. ]
